Job Summary:
Responsible for exercising lead generation sales skills in an effort to optimize each contact with potential clients; locate and define potential target markets and develop sales opportunities through cold calling activities; effectively handle inbound marketing sourced leads, and conduct conversations around product features, benefits, and advantages of products or services. Within this role we work closely with numerous National and International Sales departments and functions such as, Sales, Marketing, Account Managers, the Channel Partner team, and the global BDR teams. BDRs are encouraged to shadow sales calls and partner with experience sales reps to continuously enhance their prospecting and sales development skills. This role is predominantly focused on New Client Acquisition so comfort and competence in outbound sales prospecting is key to success. The Lead Business Development Associate will act as a subject matter expert on the team, act as a point of escalation and serve as a mentor to the Business Development Associates.

Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in a similar positionmay be substituted for educational requirements.

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Development Functions -
- Partner with National and International sales teams to develop sales opportunities through extensive cold outreach activities (phone, email, LinkedIn)
- Meet or exceed monthly KPI's including meetings-booked, and quarterly minimum revenue quotas
- Partake in special projects that may arise
- Maintain excellent knowledge regarding products and product offers, engaging in additional on-the-job training, as well as on-going training
- Provide support to Sales leadership and team members ensuring to adhere to established timelines
- Assist sales and marketing staff with sales content and campaigns as needed
- Maintain established calls and completed calls per day goals (if applicable)
- Detail oriented, particularly relating to CRM management and lead follow up
- Subject matter expert on the team's new client acquisition process.
- Be a main point of escalation for Business Development Associate questions and concerns around the sales process
- Work with the team from a mentorship standpoint to ensure they are growing and thriving within the organization.

Experience:
- 1+ years of lead generation, sales, or marketing experience required OR applicable experience with lead generation, cold calling, networking, or other external outreach efforts.
- 6+ months experience as a Business Development Associate required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of sales theories and techniques and ability to deal tactfully and courteously with clients.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both individually and with a team.
