Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides solutions for IT and business management concerning the application of technology to business opportunities, planning and implementation of cross-functional applications.
• Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
• Translates business requirements into application requirements, while working with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
• Coaches and sometimes delegates work to lower-level professionals.
• Work with business partners to gather business requirements / processes.
• Work with team (business analysts, projects managers, tech / architecture leads, developers and quality assurance) to document detailed functional specifications, workflows, data dictionaries and any other required artifacts.
• Perform unit and system testing of code, configuration components, and integrations as necessary.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Required

• 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Nuveen is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst for Distribution and Client Services IT group. The Lead Business System Analyst oversees the analysis of business and information needs to design optimal systems solutions. Working with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job is responsible for managing large projects and processes, while also coordinating efforts among the Business Systems team.

Required Skills:

• 5 or more years of experience in business analyst role that contributes to the configuration / customization of Salesforce.
• 2 or more years of experience with databases and writing queries.

Preferred Skills:

• Asset management or financial services industry experience.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Salesforce.
• Experience with data mapping work.
• Experience within Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Base Pay Range: $98,100/yr. - $160,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
