Lead Cabinet Maker

We are looking for an experienced woodworker to take on a leading role in our busy cabinet shop. We make a wide variety of casework mostly for commercial projects. Key traits that you have: - 5+ years of experience in a commercial woodworking shop. - Communication skills – understanding others and explaining to others are both critical skills - Knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery and construction processes. - Knowledge of wood, laminate, solid surface, cabinetry hardware and other materials. - Ability to motivate, train and coach other team members in a respectful manner. - Detail oriented with an expectation of producing high quality products. - Must approach all projects with a can-do, problem solver perspective. Position Responsibilities: - Lead the shop team to meet production schedule and quality requirements daily. - Hands on production of cabinetry including: - Create cut list per project - Print reading - Laminate particle board and other substrate - Corian fabrication - Finish carpentry - On-site installation - Must be able to lift 50lbs or more - Lead installation crew on-site. - Train new shop staff in cabinet making process. - Ensure that routine maintenance is complete throughout the shop. - Participate in shop scheduling and material ordering process. - Always operate in a safe manner. - Occasional travel to job sites. Must have valid drivers license.
