What is my Impact?

Lead IT Systems Engineers are responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions. Lead IT Systems Engineer's analyze system requirements and leads infrastructure design, implementation planning, architectural diagrams, and system documentation. They also provide technical support and troubleshoot problems and perform scripting/programming to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions. Lead IT Systems Engineers drive and implement automation enhancements and process improvement efforts, are assigned to multiple complex systems/applications, and are relied upon to lead the design efforts of their assigned systems/platform. They lead initiatives, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Systems Engineers.

What Will I Do?

  • Leads initiatives, oversee work results, provide training and serve as a technical resource for other Systems Engineers. Assists in training and mentoring staff.
  • Installation, management and administration of SSL Certificates leveraging Netscaler VPX as well as external enterprise tools
  • Manage and support Citrix XenMobile, XenApp, XenDesktop.
  • Manage Citrix Netscaler ADC, Gateway, Unified Gateway and Netscaler HA pairs.
  • Manage Citrix VDI support and administration for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Multisite support for over 10,000 plus user sites.
  • Support, administration and design for Windows Server 2016, 2019 and Server 2022.
  • vSphere 7.x & 8.x Administration and Support.
  • Drives technology strategy implementation based on leading-edge industry standards, best practices and comprehensive understanding of business operations.
  • Leads development of policies, plans and schedules. Drive and implement process and automation improvements. Determines best course of action for meeting business needs and provides consultative expertise to customers on how to best use systems/infrastructure capabilities. Develops processes and procedures related to systems/application administration.
  • Leads automation initiatives to improve reliability of systems.
  • Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technology.
  • Researches, designs, implements and tests of technology solutions. Ensures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards.
  • Determines migration and upgrade impacts and diagnose/resolve complex technology/application errors.
  • Leads workgroups and initiatives with IT and business area partners. Key participant in capacity planning, design and implementation of technical project management related to systems administration.
  • May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
  • Contributes input into infrastructure architecture and ensures infrastructure architecture is implemented as intended. Ensures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints
  • Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies
  • Provides technical direction for engineering, interfacing, integration and testing
  • Conducts analysis, system requirement reviews, and roadmaps for managed technologies. Collects and presents data for reporting and planning
  • Monitors, manages and ensures technical integrity of work, deliverables and system continually assessing and mitigating issues over time as changes are imposed.
  • Reviews and/or approves system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete. Provides governance leadership for adherence to standards.
  • Analyzes, translates and leads implementation of architectural designs in systems engineering and administration efforts. Interfaces with Architects to integrate solution into an overall architecture.
  • Benchmarks technology strategies and architectures. Monitors and anticipates trends and investigates organizational objectives and needs. Prepares benchmarking reports and presentations.
  • Contact vendors for problem and incident resolution.
What is Preferred?

  • Prior experience working in healthcare, health insurance or financial environments as it relates to HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, HITRUST and CMS Compliance
  • HCI and SDS platforms
  • Strong PowerCLI and PowerShell scripting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Thin Client implementation and management in a clinic environment
  • Florida Blue/Guidewell experience.
What is Required?

  • 6+ years related work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting Citrix technology
  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
  • Extensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces and integration
  • Proficient working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system.
  • Extensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations.
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrated through project or technical leadership experience, including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
