Lead Cloud Engineer - AWS

In this Lead Software Engineer position, you will be a valued contributor in the construction of Thomson Reuters entirely new, cloud native, legal research platform which will be integrated into several flagship products, including Westlaw and CLEAR. You will apply your prior experience in software design and development to assist in building TR's enterprise search service. You will work side by side with TR's experts where you will obtain vital knowledge on highly performant, highly scalable enterprise search architecture. You will also gain significant experience working with a variety of Amazon's cloud native services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters (preferred) degree in computer science or a related field
• 5+ experience developing core Java software applications

• 2+ years of experience working as part of an agile project team, writing, and estimating stories
• 2+ years of experience working with LINUX/Unix operating systems
• 2+ years of experience with requirements analysis and technical software design
• 1+ years of experience in providing technical guidance and review to junior team members

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with search engines (e.g., Lucene, Solar, Elasticsearch)
• 1+ year developing applications in AWS Cloud
• Working knowledge of XML and JSON
• 1+ year experience building CI/CD pipelines
• 1+ year experience developing with spring boot
