This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them.

Job Responsibilities

• Build, improve, and reimagine platform capabilities and services
• Address technical needs: automation/self-service, security regarding identity and access, data protection, CICD security, high availability, monitoring, scalability, self-healing, and effective cost postures
• Define and document best practices and strategies
• Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Verify cloud service model meets appropriate compliance/governance requirements

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or mathematics

Experience Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in implementation cloud solutions on Azure platforms
• Experience in automation, configuration management and deployment of enterprise scale infrastructures.
• Sound understanding of Identity & Access Management
• MS Windows/Linux setup, configuration, patching and upgrades
• Database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
• Use of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as AWS Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Certification, and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification a plus.
• Knowlege of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks
• Experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering
• Background in X86 (Linux, Windows) and AIX platforms a plus
