THE ROLE

Reporting to the Lead of Commercial Analytics & Business Intelligence, the Lead, Commercial Analyst supports the design, build, and management of multiple business-critical capabilities for Amylyx.  This includes collaborating with IT to support the development of an enterprise strategy for Business Intelligence, build KPI dashboards to provide up-to-date insights to all levels of the commercial organization and leadership, and providing an on-going insightful narrative on drivers and barriers of brand performance.   Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services and other functions, this is a critical role to enable Amylyx to measure its commercialization efforts and to identify opportunities to better drive adoption and optimize the success of the company’s commercial products through the generation of deep insights. 

This role will need to work independently across key functions within Commercial (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Operations etc.) as well as other key corporate functions that include but are not limited to:  IT, Compliance, and HR.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provides expertise to the development & implementation of cross-functional Commercial Analytics on a global basis
  • Support, refine, and enhance the commercial insights and analytics capabilities including infrastructure and processes to support our full portfolio of products on a global basis
  • Support ongoing analyses across primary and secondary data sources to identify product and market insights
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Field Operations, Patient Services and other functions to identify, implement, and track progress of strategies, plans and tactics that optimize the success of the company’s commercial products
  • Partners with stakeholders to define critical business questions and define insights and analytics approach to investigate and provide answers/guidance to support decision making.
  • Builds and maintains dynamic KPI dashboards to address executional, operational, and performance related questions
  • Collaborates across Commercial functions to develop high quality effective analytic support and insightful KPI delivery.
  • Collaborates with the IT team, providing requirements to create the data infrastructure necessary to implement the commercial data strategy and to generate actionable insights and build data models supporting commercial activities.
  • Provide support in defining how the business can create additional value through the algorithms and utilization of data assets and analytics.
  • Support management of key external vendor relationships

REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant business intelligence, forecasting, insights & analytics, and sales effectiveness experience
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech or Lifesciences experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT on development of reporting layer within a data warehouse.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing or managing development of complex dashboards in business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense)
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing data from a broad range of commercial data sources (specialty pharmacy dispense/status data, specialty distributor data, patient services data, payer claims/formulary status data, CRM data, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge & application of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) 
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills--able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations
  • Must exhibit excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way
  • Ability to travel approx. 20% of time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Consulting experience preferred
  • Global experience a plus
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience preferred
