Position Purpose: The Lead Communications Specialist is responsible for the creation, design and, maintenance of the new department SharePoint sites. The role will provide communications and content marketing expertise for internal communications and content strategy. Additionally, the role will support communication content delivered to large internal audiences online, via email and in live presentations, including all-employee audiences. The Lead Communications Specialist will support the editorial cycle for company written documents, communication and other content related to the CAHPS Strategy Team's operations, projects and, initiatives.

Proficiency utilizing SharePoint is required in order to meet the expectations for the position.

***This position is primarily remote. Candidates will be considered nationally but, the Lead Communications Specialist is expected to work between 8:00am-5pm EST no matter their location.***

Responsibilities:

Write, review and revise materials that effectively align with the communication or marketing plan, including emails, newsletters or promotional materials.

Manage the editorial process from creation to delivery and for content with internal partners to support overarching communications and/or marketing strategy, including identification of and reporting on content related metrics.

Design, review and revise department and partner/client content distributed to ensure accuracy, appropriateness of content, readability and brand adherence.

Create deliverables to promote and implement internal-facing initiatives such as awareness building, engagement events, education or incentive programs.

Create artifacts and coordinate or deliver changes for internal website(s) and develop, implement and maintain the associated internal media channels.

Order and track promotional items for all products and all service areas while ensuring budget compliance and reporting financial impact.

Develop and maintain professional contacts and relationships with printers, graphic artists and other vendors.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in communications or marketing. Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Suite (PPT, Excel, and Word), Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe InDesign, Camtasia, Bananatag, and Qualtrics.

License/Certification:

Storytelling certification and Prosci certification (ADKAR Model) preferred
