Lead Computer Scientist

In this role you will work with state-of-the art market systems & energy management system platform utilizing niche technology like: Docker, DevOps, Micro Services, SOA, EAI and other Java frameworks.

How you will make an Impact:

Be a part of vibrant team of highly skilled professionals and bring engineering and software development expertise to enhance Real Time Markets dispatch software suite. Develop state of the art solutions and utilize software knowledge to keep the Power Grid running under most economic conditions.

• Analyze and investigate Real Time dispatch questions
• Analyze and investigate Real time Pricing questions
• Bring power system perspective to real time dispatch and troubleshoot issues or questions
• Provide production support to various internal and external facing applications
• Integrate software solutions across multiple applications, systems and databases
• Analyze, understand & investigate complex data flows using various patterns
• Develop software solutions using C/C++/Java platforms
• Follow change management policies and procedures

What we are looking for:

Talented Electrical Power System Engineer or Java technologies developer

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or any other Engineering discipline
• 5-10 years of programming experience in Java technologies
• Hands on work experience in DevOps or Microservices or Docker and Kubernetes
• Hands on work experience in various Java technologies including Web Programming
• Working knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Thorough knowledge and work experience in the area of Complex data structures and data flows
• Demonstrated ability in communicating difficult problems to wider audience
• Demonstrated ability in following good practices in Change Management policies and procedures
• Knowledge of NERC Cyber Infrastructure Protection standards
