What will you be doing?
As the Lead Contract Pricing Engineer, you will identify and facilitate bid-specific strategies that will optimize conversion on both new and existing bid opportunities. You will work alongside the Manager, RFP Execution and collaboratively with the Strategic Pricing Coordinator to execute the pricing process efficiently. You will directly engage the yield team and customer teams to vet opportunities, define strategy, review submissions, interact directly with customers, and analyze feedback between rounds.

What will you be doing?
As the Lead Contract Pricing Engineer, you will identify and facilitate bid-specific strategies that will optimize conversion on both new and existing bid opportunities. You will work alongside the Manager, RFP Execution and collaboratively with the Strategic Pricing Coordinator to execute the pricing process efficiently. You will directly engage the yield team and customer teams to vet opportunities, define strategy, review submissions, interact directly with customers, and analyze feedback between rounds.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the account-specific execution of RFPs
- Review the RFP submissions to determine the scope of opportunity and provide feedback regarding planned resource allocation for each bid
- Collaborate with the Strategic Pricing Coordinator to facilitate bid execution
- Assist in the training and development of the Strategic Pricing Coordinator
- Ensure effective communication of pricing strategies to all stakeholders
- Review RFPs prior to submission to validate pricing and targeted strategy
- Ensure RFP execution process is upheld throughout all stages of an RFP
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of third party logistics truckload experience required
- Minimum 1 year of truckload pricing experience required
- Proven knowledge of truckload market trends
- Ability to successfully prioritize responsibilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to succeed in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) with an emphasis in strong Excel skills
