Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cook to oversee our culinary team and ensure the highest standards of food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with expertise in food safety. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to create an inspiring environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Kitchen, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality food service.
• Oversee kitchen operations to ensure that all meals meet our standards for taste and presentation.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on food handling, preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering events and special menus as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere by promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development.
Requirements
• Proven experience in the BOH Lead role.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Experience in food handling, catering, restaurant operations, or kitchen management is preferred.
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Previous experience in BBQ a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
