You'll work with and mentor a great team to enhance our Digital software that hundreds of customers around the world use to manage building equipment, staff, renewable energy infrastructure and industrial machines used for material handling and manufacturing. You will work on major new software modules and features, quality improvements and performance optimizations, and integrations with live machine data through our big data pipeline.

You will work on major new software modules and features, quality improvements and performance optimizations, and integrations with live machine data through our big data pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the Software Development Communication Coordinator, you will be the central person to communicate technical requirements and issues effectively to cross-regional teams outside of the United States. You will act as the primary hub of communication between these teams regardless of the team's location.
  • Be highly organized as communication between US and Remote teams could be delayed up to one day.
  • Build strong partnerships with UX designers, Architects, Software Developers, and Product Managers.
  • Become an SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the cloud-based applications we are building as well as the code base.
  • Attend daily scrums, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews and other agile meetings for both remote teams and US based teams
  • Mentor team members and provide support when they have questions.
  • Work within a Scrum environment to plan and deliver incremental software in defined sprints
  • Contribute to software design and architecture, including design reviews

  • Develop high-quality code along with automated unit tests for cloud-based and self-hosted SaaS products
  • Contribute to integration, system, and performance testing, including test tools
  • Take ownership as a highly motivated member of a scrum team
  • Assist with troubleshooting customer problems and finding solutions in a timely fashion

Tasks and Qualifications:

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar engineering degree.
  • Experience working with cross-regional teams.
  • Experience with agile processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, JavaScript and Python in particular. NodeJS a plus.

  • Strong web development skills including, but not limited to, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3
  • Experience with web frameworks like (Vue.js, React.js, Angular)
  • Experience with web services like (SOAP, WCF, REST, GraphQL)
  • Development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • An understanding of agile software development and testing principles and practices
  • Experience applying user experience design principles to create great mobile and web UIs
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with big data technologies would be an asset

  • Experience with cloud-based services would be an asset, but not required. Automation and continuous deployment experience would also be a benefit.
  • A good sense of humor and an ability to have fun!
  • Cloud-native experience is a bonus!
