THE JOB:
The Lead Data Architect will lead the strategic implementation of Data Architecture practices across the Enterprise data platforms with cloud-first approach. This position will play a critical role in centralizing the Data architecture design processes & frameworks and help implement them with various Data engineering initiatives in collaboration with Data Engineering & Data product management teams. Also, this position will play a key role in helping establish the data governance practices, access management strategies and data security solutions.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Define data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, focusing on modeling, metadata, and data security in enterprise data environments. Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to develop, champion, and implement comprehensive data strategies and architectures across data domains, ensuring scalability, interoperability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Establish best practices for batch/streaming ingestion from disparate data sources, ensuring seamless data flow, integration of quality rules, and structuring data for analytics consumption.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive data architecture documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and data quality/validation frameworks.

• Guide the team in best practices for building enterprise data warehouses/data marts and API strategies, emphasizing performance, scalability, and resilience.

• Leverage cloud-based technologies to assess and select the optimal tech stack for the platform.

• Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.

• Provide expertise on data security practices, including encryption, masking, and access control to safeguard sensitive information.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 8+ years of prior relevant experience in enterprise data warehouses, data lakes and analytics solutions.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Expertise with data warehousing, data governance, master data & reference data management, data privacy & compliance, access management frameworks.
