Position Title:

Lead Data Architect

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Architect with a proven track record of implementing data solutions within government agencies and leading teams using Agile Scrum methodologies. As the Lead Data Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions that address the unique challenges and requirements of government organizations, while also fostering Agile practices within your team. The role requires someone who can take ownership of our data strategy and design and implement data architecture and implement our data strategy leveraging real-time data utilizing the concept of Data Virtualization while keeping our data governance in check.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with government data, understanding regulatory constraints, and delivering impactful data-driven solutions in an Agile environment. You will work closely with the clients and your team to collaborate and communicate daily progress.

Role Specific Duties:

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop and execute a robust data strategy that aligns with our business objectives. We're all about using real-time data and smart virtualization techniques to stay ahead of the curve.
• Put your architecture skills to the test by designing and implementing data architectures that can handle anything thrown their way. We need scalability, reliability, and performance, and we need it yesterday.
• Set up and enforce data governance policies like a pro. We're talking data quality, integrity, and security – all under your expert guidance.
• Keep our data catalog in tip-top shape. Think of it as your personal inventory of data treasures, ready for business owners and data owners to explore and use.
• Dive deep into domain-specific data models utilizing concept of data mesh, making sure they accurately represent our business needs. Your collaboration with the business side will be key here.
• We need you to be our Data as a Product Champion and lead the charge in instilling a culture where everyone treats data as a precious resource.
• Champion a DataOps culture focused on continuous integration, delivery, and automation of data pipelines. Your leadership will streamline our data workflows and accelerate time to value.
• Leverage your expertise in Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics to integrate these critical systems seamlessly. Your proficiency will ensure data consistency and accessibility across platforms.
• Roll up your sleeves and dive into our agile environment. You'll be working closely with teams across the board to make sure our data solutions are hitting the mark.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience implementing data solutions, preferably within government agencies, with a strong background in Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing data architectures.
• Strong experience with data microservices, APIs, data integration tools and techniques, data lake, data warehousing, data virtualization, RDS, NoSQL, Files, ETL, etc.
• Familiarity with tools like Denodo, Mulesoft, Collibra, Alation, and Snowflake.
• Expertise in Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics integration, with a deep understanding of their data models and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of DataOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Relevant certifications in data management.
• Familiarity with AWS ECS platforms and modern data analytics technologies.
• Familiarity with tools like Denodo, Mulesoft, Collibra, Alation, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Snowflake.
