Lead Data Engineer

Lead Data Engineer: CarParts.com, Inc. seeks Lead Data Engineer. Job site is located at 2050 W. 190th Street, Suite 400, Torrance, CA 90504. The position requires a B.S. in Engineering, Computer science, or Related field and 5 years' experience in job offered or Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Software Developer or another closely related field.

Special Skills/Requirements:

Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Python, PySpark and SQL.

Job Duties:

Developing modern data architecture approaches; implement data ingestion pipelines; manage cloud platforms to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solution; design highly re-usable and flexible data platform, maintaining data availability and user access; Design and implement data pipelines from multiple sources via Databricks, PostgreSQL, and other data sources; Ensure data quality and consistency is maintained at all times across all data sources; Work hand-in-hand with data science and analytics team and conceptualize novel machine learning initiatives; Design scalable technical solutions capable of handling large data sets, complex analytics, and multiple users; Work with a team on creating a new platform using your experience of APIs, microservices, and platform development; Work with different departments to outline the specific data and modeling needs; Work within an Agile delivery / DevOps methodology to deliver proof of concept and production implementation in iterative sprints; Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders; Provide team leadership, including growing, managing, and coaching a team of direct reports. Salary: $197,600/Year.
