Job Description

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $2B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.

At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.

Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.

The Role

As a Quality Lead at Veeva OpenData, you will be streamlining quality control processes while leading a remote team of Quality Control Data Stewards.

Champion quality by collaborating across departments to optimize reporting, workflows, and documentation. Foster a detail-oriented, excellence-driven team culture.

The ideal candidate for this role has a process-oriented mindset and is strong in people management, too.

Whether you choose to work at home or in one of our offices, you enjoy working with autonomy and in an international environment. We have a great remote working culture where people work hard, have fun, and grow.

What You'll Do

  • Design, innovate, and optimize processes and workflows to ensure best-in-class delivery of data quality and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation, including policies, training materials, and work instructions
  • Lead a team of 20+ Quality Control Data Stewards from onboarding and coaching to performance review
  • Work as a team with fellow Quality Leads to ensure alignment on Quality Control processes. Monitor performance and empower the Quality Control team to meet quality and productivity targets and deadlines
  • Run reports on data quality and performance
  • Support the Quality Manager in analyzing data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities of improvements
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders like Operations, Engineering, and Product Management

Requirements

  • Experience in implementing and/or developing Quality Control processes
  • Process-oriented mindset and systems thinking with a proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements
  • Strong people management skills. Preferably 3-5 years of leading and managing high-performance teams in a service center environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive “can do” attitude
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on track
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, clear and concise communication
  • Experience in analysis of complex datasets, creation of dashboards
  • Proficiency in Google Apps, MS Office, and other office software
  • Fluency in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data management and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with querying relational databases using SQL or a similar language
  • Experience working with MDM (master data management) applications
  • Understanding of Healthcare systems
