Job Description

About Us

Sage is on a mission to improve the quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living facilities. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths among adults over 65. At the same time, fall prevention and emergency response systems for older adults are archaic and ineffective. This issue is exacerbated by the inefficient procedures that operators of these facilities are forced to use to provide care to their residents.  Sage's integrated software aims to reinvent how we care for and respond to older adults in times of need.  We aim to build a platform that gives caregivers the means to provide care for modern aging.

Sage is a small, tight team of ambitious, multi-disciplinary entrepreneurs.  We are a software-enabled, mission-driven company, and are focused only on the problems that are central to achieving that mission.  At Sage, we work hard and fast but also know that to build a truly important company, we need to treat our work as a marathon, and not a sprint.  The journey matters.  We know when to slow down, take breaks, and have fun.

About The Role

As a Lead Data Product Manager at Sage, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of eldercare by building software that highlights and contextualizes data insights for senior living communities nationwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven products that address the unique needs of older adults and their caregivers. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and will be expected to blend technical expertise with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

  • We generally expect team members to work in the office Tuesday—Thursday with Monday and Friday as flexible, work-from-home days.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

  • Salary range: $140,000-$160,000 depending on experience.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across engineering, design, client success, business development, and data science teams to prioritize, plan, and execute product features and improvements.
  • Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify market trends, user needs, and opportunities in the eldercare space.
  • Initiative Coordination: Gather requirements, write initiative documentation, and organize cross functional pod syncs to ensure initiatives stay on-time and on-target.
  • User-Centric Design: Advocate for a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that products meet the unique requirements of our users.
  • Product Launch: Plan and execute successful product launches, working closely with commercial teams to drive user adoption and market penetration.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor product performance and user feedback, analyzing key metrics and implementing improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure products comply with relevant healthcare regulations and maintain a high level of data security and privacy standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, specifically with data-driven software products.
  • Must have past experience meaningfully contributing to data modeling conversations. Has an informed understanding of the purpose behind data warehouse, transformation, quality testing, and visualization tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare technology, eldercare, or related domains.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a passion for leveraging data to drive decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work towards shared goals.
