Humana Inc seeks a Lead Data Scientist in Louisville, KY.
Duties: Develop statistical algorithms and predictive models to transform high volumes of complex data into analytic solutions. Utilize cutting edge machine learning techniques and algorithm, such as deep learning, natural language processing or recommendation systems to develop powerful data science tools. Lead and manage large analytic products with independent judgment for substantial complex business problems. Align business and analytics goals, create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and decisions. Advise executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. Initiate and develop end-to-end analytics products to support substantial business use cases and strategies, collaborate across business and technical teams for successful product deliveries. Contribute to internal and external research and business community to develop new techniques and innovation. Mentor and counsel junior data scientists on new techniques or solutions. Pre-employment drug screen and background check is required. 100% travel to various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. 100% Telecommuting permitted within the U.S.
Requires a Requires a Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or related roles.
Requires 2 years of experience in the following skills:
-using machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, predictive modeling to deliver business insights;
-big data tools and cloud analytics platforms, such as Azure, PySpark, and Hadoop or Cloudera;
-programming languages and tools such as Python, SQL, R or SAS;
-developing end-to-end analytics solutions, and implementation of analytics and machine learning products; and
-working with cross functional teams from business, engineering, data management and product management.
