Lead Design Engineering

The Lead Dsgn Engineering will participate in driving the development efforts around cloud technologies. Collaborate with vendor/contractor partners to develop and implement the detailed design, configuration, and engineering strategies/solutions to deliver cloud engineering solutions while remaining focused on security, uptime, and performance. Provide troubleshooting and resolution to complex problems/issues. Role also entitles to provide functional engineering leadership and direction to cloud team(s) of significant scope/impact (employees, contract personnel and vendor partners) dedicated to portfolio(s) of technical business applications and/or services, including: operational maintenance, production support, front-line management of incidents, development support, and proactive/preventative analysis and focused on development of a custom governance automation platform. Serve as technical point-person and cloud expert for issues, needs and projects activities and multiple areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in installing configuring and maintaining Ansible Automation Platform. Including managing playbooks, workflows and job templates.

• Experience in working with multi account architecture in AWS, hands on experience with landing zone design.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.

• In-depth understanding and hand on experience of AWS services like AWS Org, IAM, S3, AWS LAMBDA, VPCs, CloudFormation etc.

• Experience in implementing and managing scalable and highly available cloud architectures using IaC (Jenkins, Ansible Playbooks).

• In-depth knowledge of Jenkins Groovy scripting for pipeline as code, with the ability to design and optimize complex Jenkins pipelines, manage shared libraries, and integrate with tools like Terraform, Chekov, and AWS services.

• Experience in designing and developing cloud native automation solutions using Python.

• Terraform, AWS certification and Azure experience is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Provide oversight and leadership to cloud team.

• Delegate and prioritize work to ensure effective execution of team/function deliverables.

• Ensure knowledge transfer and cross-training of team to effectively support the business Product Support Maintenance & Documentation.

• Drive proliferation of existing technology investments and capabilities to enable business efficiencies.

 
Required Qualifications
7-10 years of Software Development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience.
Demonstrated experience leading a team of Technical Engineers.
Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud with any programming language and Operating system.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve in the technology space and the ability to influence and optimize input from key stakeholders in the standard setting process
Proven ability to participate in, and contribute simultaneously to, multiple work streams including planning, logistics, communication, and follow up across a diverse and virtual team
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors/Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, IT or equivalent technical degree.
Proven experience in AWS, Azure and Python development.
