Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be working as a lead developer within a global team reporting to Local and International Development Management. You will be primarily responsible for design code and unit test of new product features. Additionally you will be required to work mentoring junior members of your team being a focal point for them. As a Development lead you will also be responsible for working directly with clients interacting with them for requirements gathering scope identification and participating in planning timelines and priorities. You would also be required to work on product documentation build automation and work with the QA teams on resolution of defects.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Review Requirement documentation and technical specifications
β’ Take ownership large portions of product functionality including design code & unit test new product features
β’ Lead and Mentor junior developers across multiple Geos
β’ Potentially act as Scrum-Lead for various product deliverables
β’ Defect resolution working with QA team on resolution of issues
β’ Provide input into planning and status tracking
β’ Lead and Mentor junior developers
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
β’ Self-Starter who is a very quick learner of new technology be able to multi-task and have strong analytical skills
β’ Demonstrated experience in software design development experience e.g. Java J2EE C++ including demonstratable team lead experience
β’ IBM Integration Bus (now IBM App Connect Enterprise) ESQL experience
β’ Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving / debugging
β’ Extensive experience with agile development methodologies
β’ Containerised application development/deployment β e.g. Openshift Kubernetes Docker
β’ Fluency in English.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication teamwork and debugging skills.
β’ Works well in a global team environment but is also able to work independently
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
β’ IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) experience
β’ IBM MQ / JMS understanding and experience desirable
β’ Database SQL DB2 or Oracle understanding and experience desirable
