Job Description

The Lead Developer is responsible for overseeing the analysis, programming, and configuration of IT Systems Software. This job develops complex software components and advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation. While working with the leadership team, this job provides project leadership for software development activities.

  • Monitors development work to ensure resulting software meets established goals.
  • Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
  • Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System.
  • Oversees the configuration, customization, diagnoses, and enhancements for operating systems software.
  • Designs, codes and develops, and unit tests applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Performs detailed design and code reviews and addresses findings appropriately.

Position Summary:

  • Works closely with business stakeholders and technical service partners to develop technical solutions leveraging the Oracle EPM Suite for the Financial Performance Management processes
  • Designs, tests, and documents system (TDDs) solutions using the Oracle EPM (EPBCS, FCCS, HFM, Essbase, and DRM/EDM) systems to create system functionality to meet the business requirements for Financial Close and Budgeting processes.
  • Configure and develop Data Management integrations for strategic planning initiatives
  • Coordinate, support and drive discussions with architecture, ETL, data source providers to ensure end-to-end solutions are aligned to TIAA standards for Oracle EPM excellence
  • Indirectly manages cross functional teams by collaborating with production support / management services team to ensure solutions deployed in production are running efficiently and with minimum disruption to processing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement, and support Financial Management process leveraging Oracle EPM tools (EPBCS, FCCS, HFM, Essbase)
  • Analyze users' business requirements and create detailed Technical Design Documents (TDD) for system functionality
  • Coordinate and apply system fixes/patches following a SDLC model, and apply best-practice methods to ensure the Planning system and processes meets SLAs
  • Maintain and operate organization's financial reporting operations, consisting of integrating the Oracle EPM suite across Oracle FSDF, Oracle DRM/EPM, Snowflake, and file systems
  • Ensure operational systems meet or exceed SLAs
  • Interface with financial partners and IT technical teams 'One Team' for support maintenance
  • Manage security setup in the Oracle EPM environment
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for incidents and problem management and oversee technical coordination and resolution on EPM suite (Essbase, EPBCS, HFM, and FCCS) (INC) tickets with Oracle support
  • Manage resources across multiple service providers (On/Off shore)

Required Skills:

  • 5 or more years of development experience in Oracle EPM (EBPCS , FCCS) leveraging data integration modules i.e. EPBCS Data Management, Essbase, FCCS, Smartview, and Oracle SQL
  • 5 or more years of working experience with Oracle EPM
  • Experience with Oracle EPM optimization techniques (ASO/BSO)
  • Experience developing & troubleshooting complex calculation scripts and business rules
  • Build and implementation experience with EPM automation for data loads, backup & recovery on LINUX operating systems
  • Support experience on Oracle EPM security, LCM utility, and upgrade migration process
  • Detail understanding of issue management and results oriented

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in BSO tuning, Business Rule optimizations, and Linux automation
  • Engage with financial business partners on new requirements and create business requirement enhancements
  • Oracle EPBCS, FCCS, Essbase, and HFM System Administration (Dimension updates, Security, Form maintenance, Business Rules, and automation orchestration)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle EPM SAAS architecture and ability to find, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Expertise in SQL and integration with Oracle and Snowflake
  • Experience in leading cross functional teams

Base Pay Range: $115,700/yr. - $192,900/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
