Lead DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to help us to lead our production engineering team to build scalable systems that maintain reliability, optimize performance, and improve our development environment. You will be responsible for setting up a modern cloud infrastructure at Zello, automating and improving the development and deployment process, and providing operational engineering support. • Build and configure new development tools and infrastructure in AWS and IBM Cloud. 
• Work with the engineering team to modernize the development environments, automate and improve development and release processes, to speed up software development. 
• Measure and optimize system performance to push our capabilities forward, get ahead of customer needs, and innovate to improve continually.

• Design, build, and optimize comprehensive automation systems operating web and backend services and data infrastructure platforms.
• Manage and develop continuous integration and deployment solutions for production applications across multiple cloud providers and engage with 3rd party consulting service providers. 
• Implement monitoring solutions that identify system bottlenecks and production issues and implement data storage schemas such as clustering to maximize performance.
• Research, test, and execute new techniques which could be reused and applied to the software development project. 
• Guide the team in modernizing Zello’s platform infrastructure, adopting DevOps best practices, and developing continuous integration and deployment solutions across various environments. 
• Provide the architecture and technical leadership of the complete DevOps infrastructure.

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of working experience as a DevOps Engineer with at least three years of experience as a Lead DevOps Engineer.
• Ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation. 
• Experience using Linux and Jenkins and configuring and automating the monitoring tools. 
• Experience in the software development process and tools and languages like Python, MongoDB, Shell scripting, MySQL, and Git. 
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS. AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred. 
• Problem-solving attitude.
