Lead DevOps Engineer

YPrime is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Information Technology team. You’ll be based remotely in our Malvern, PA or Raleigh, NC office. At YPrime, we help our clients in the pharma and biotech industries to collect data from patients using mobile devices, assign patients to study treatment groups and dispense clinical trial drugs and supplies using web apps. We’re supporting life-altering research, one project at a time.

• 5 years of DevOps experience, preferably in a senior or lead level role. 
• Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a variety of roles 
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Automation 
• Command of at least one scripting language (I.e. PowerShell, Ruby, or Python), and openness to continued learning 
• Conversant in, or willing to learn, git source code management 
• Familiarity with Microsoft VSTS/TFS/Dev Ops and/or other continuous integration tools, like Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo 
• Familiar with SQL/IIS server administration and scripting 
• Familiar with software testing methodologies and platforms 
• Basic understanding of the following software development languages and technologies 
  • C# and .NET 
  • Web Services, Model View Controller (MVC), and Entity Framework (EF) 
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures 
• Ability to work independently or with cross functional teams 
• Persistent desire to innovate, automate, and continually improve processes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field 
• Experience or education in both developer and IT operations 

Here are some more details about the job 

• You will architect, design and support continuous integration and delivery pipeline. 
• You will drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation 
• You will carry out scripting/coding tasks relative to integrating various platforms or services 
• You will facilitate after-hours deployment efforts as needed. 
• You will open change tickets as needed to facilitate release automation processes 
• You will become thoroughly familiar with all compliance and security requirements, adhering to all policy and standards, adapting to CI/CD platform as needed. 
• You will support IRT/eCOA deployments to development, validation, UAT, and production environments 
• You will assist customer care and project team with issue investigation and resolution 
• You will assist delivery teams with custom monitoring needs, data issues, and troubleshooting 
• You will provide 24x7 on-call support for mission-critical systems 
• You will respond to user issues/requests for assistance (tickets, phone, email, etc.) 
• You will maintain related system configurations, documentation, etc. in accordance with YPrime SOPs and Work Instructions 
• Where possible, you will design and/or automate yourself out of any of the above duties.
