Your team: The DevOps team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our software development and delivery processes. This includes automating infrastructure provisioning, configuring and managing cloud services, building and deploying software releases, and monitoring application performance and availability. Our team utilizes a range of technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab to achieve these objectives.

About you

As a Lead DevOps Engineer in TRG, you will be using your software engineering background and be responsible for: deploying product updates across our services, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs.

What you’ll work on:

• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with senior management to align DevOps strategies with business goals.
• Oversee the management of IT infrastructure to support business needs and ensure reliable deployment in a hybrid multi-tenant environment.
• Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes for scalable deployment.
• Develop and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes.
• Automate deployment processes, tests, and system monitoring to ensure continuous delivery and high system performance.
• Ensure applications maintain 100% uptime by utilizing monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Opensearch to proactively manage system health and performance.
• Build independent web-based tools, microservices, and solutions to facilitate development to production integration.
• Develop scripts and automation using languages such as Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash.
• Configure and manage various data sources including MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, Neo4J, ArangoDB, etc
• Maintain and manage source control using GIT.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure specifications, deployment processes, and configuration management.

What we look for:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with significant leadership or senior-level experience.
• Strong proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages within a Linux environment.
• In-depth understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins and Ansible.
• Extensive experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Expertise in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Opensearch, etc.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Familiarity with web-related technologies, protocols, and web services architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
