The Mission

We are seeking a talented Lead Engagement Manager to join and help lead our growing Cloud Engagement Management team. The right candidate is someone who can manage a team of Engagement Managers and is passionate about working with our customers, partners, and employees to drive the business forward.  Your mission will be to oversee a small team of Engagement Managers to ensure project goals and engagement expectations are met. As a Lead Engagement Manager, you will be expected to focus on growth and success of the team as well as best practice sharing across the practice.

Your Assignment

  • Manage a team of six (6) Engagement Managers
  • Perform interviews for potential candidates
  • Responsible for successful onboarding, guidance and coaching for each direct report
  • Perform frequent 1:1s with your direct reports and guide their career development
  • Ensure the success of your team in completing engagements while meeting revenue targets, billable utilization and delivering business outcomes with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Monitor performance of team members and provide timely feedback and development assistance
  • Work with the Director of Engagement Management to help align and manage goals and lead Caylent initiatives
  • Serve as an Engagement Manager for at least one Engagement while managing your team to assist in process improvement opportunities
  • Develop and improve operational practices, utilization KPIs and processes as needed
Your Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in managing a consulting or project management team of direct reports
  • 5+ years in a client-facing project management role in the technical industry that consist of 5 or more people and over $1,000,000 budget
  • Extensive knowledge of project management disciplines, methodologies and tools including Project Management and/or Agile Certification(s)
  • Expertise in forecasting and budgeting management to drive accuracy in revenue projections to realization with ability to train and coach others
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to executives and hold performance conversations with direct reports
  • Ability to develop processes, templates and standards around engagement management best practices
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage team and portfolio of engagements to ensure they are executed with excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in Employee Engagement and Performance as well as Talent Management
  • Knowledge or awareness or HR processes and practices
  • Familiarity with infrastructure modernization, application development and/or data engineering disciplines
