Lead Engineer

About You

You are a highly motivated roll-up-your-sleeves engineer who loves to build complex products and systems from the ground up. You love to learn about and use the latest technologies including generative AI and LLMs. You have a strong architectural sense and have a demonstrated ability to turn architecture into code. You thrive in ambiguous settings and know how to prioritize speed and execution while balancing tech debt. You enjoy being part of a small fast-paced and energetic team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a talented engineer to help us build the best-in-class AI wealth technology platform. An ideal candidate has at least 5 years of software experience building nuanced technical systems and experience leading small teams through product development cycles.

🛠 Responsibilities

• Leading our engineering team through product sprints
• Helping to design and build our AI-powered financial platform
• Implementing integrations and automations for our investment platform
• Optimizing and managing our AWS infrastructure including migrations if needed
• Learning and staying updated on the latest trends in generative AI
• Working in close collaboration with our full team including design product & business
• Contributing innovative ideas for future development
• Helping to recruit and hire other engineers as we scale

🙌 Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least five years of hands-on programming experience across the stack with specific expertise in building scalable applications on AWS and implementing industry-standard methods for automated testing and deployment
• Demonstrated ability to architect and execute complex products including backend production systems
• Exceptional cross-functional communication
• Experience with recruiting and managing engineering teams including implementing best practices such as code reviews and operational excellence
• Passionate about the end-user experience
• Excellent communication skills
