Job Description

Overview:
Performs functions necessary to ensure trees receive scheduled irrigation water with minimum level of supervision. Performs general labor as needed. Operates wheel tractors. Supervises work as authorized by Farm Supervisor and performs some administrative tasks.

Here's what you'll do:

• Control over water flow and distribution at all times
• Makes adjustments, identifies problems, repairs and does field level maintenance to irrigation system
• Marks and reports any pipeline or valve leaks and any unusual field or tree conditions
• Performs all required field level service and maintenance on equipment
• Operates wheel tractors with various attachments
• Keeps equipment clean and properly maintained for safe operation
• Supervise, schedule and coordinate work and personnel at direction of Farm Supervisor

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

• 3-5 years experience in farming operations
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis and 100 lbs. on occasion
• If operating a company vehicle must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to work independently while meeting standards set by the Supervisor
• Ability to work alone without close supervision
• Be in good physical condition to do continuous bending, stooping and walking on a day-long basis
• Have adequate leadership and communication skills to direct, schedule and coordinate personnel and services. Bilingual English/Spanish desired

Pay Range: $20.18 - $21.59. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
