Lead, Finance Operations (Associate Equivalent)

Position Summary:

K1 is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Lead to join the Reporting team for our office located in Manhattan Beach, CA. You will act as a consultant to bring best practices to our growing portfolio companies. You will interact with finance leaders to implement best practices and support people, process, and system improvements. The FP&A Lead will also work together with K1 investment teams to provide insights on portfolio performance and trends. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, the capacity to manage multiple workstreams, and the ability to work as part of a growing team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead regular communication with assigned portfolio CFOs to problem solve and drive continuous improvement in the portfolio finance teams
• Analyze portfolio company monthly financial / business results and evaluate cash forecasts
• Support portfolio company annual budgeting process and model building
• Collaborate with the rest of the Reporting team to enhance and maintain operational finance best practices relevant for growth stage SaaS companies
• Support onboarding of new companies into K1 processes and systems
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis utilizing financial, operational and sales data, including on site support at portfolio companies
• Work directly with deal leads to manage priorities of finance function at portfolio companies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a focus in Finance or Accounting
• 3-6 years of Finance/Accounting experience, preferred
• Proven track record of going above and beyond with required tasks and managing team at current position
• Demonstrated interest in finance and desire to learn
• Ability to communicate at various levels of an organization
• Proactive and high-energy with a hands-on approach to problem solving
• Results-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously
• Ability to travel

As of the date of this posting, K1 Investment Management, LLC reasonably expects to pay $120,000+ plus a competitive bonus and equity structure for the position of Manager, FP&A.
