Lead Financial Analyst

Primary Purpose:

Under the broad supervision of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, performs financial analyses to support and measure global business results. Interacts regularly with regional business units to consolidate and analyze quarterly forecasts, annual profit plans, and strategic plans. Analyzes monthly financial results and establishes/measures key financial targets. Performs competitive analyses, researches industry trends and develops recommendations for Clarios leadership. The position functions as a key finance resource for the global FP&A group and for management.

Primary Duties:

• Prepares monthly information and analyses for leadership, including the monthly operations review
• Conducts reviews of monthly financial results; advises on meeting budget/forecast objectives
• Assists with preparation of periodic outlooks and analyses
• Prepares, analyzes and reviews quarterly forecasts and annual financial plans
• Prepares quarterly forecast/annual plan summaries and presentations for management
• Assists with pulling together plan/strategic plan assumptions and communicates information to Regions
• Assists with coordination of long-term strategic planning process and initiatives with global and region finance teams
• Provides financial support for executive leaders as needed
• Supports the Cash Management Office; including preparing the weekly cash flow outlooks
• Builds leadership presentations, Board material support, external bondholder, investor material support and material for private entity owners
• Conducts special analyses, assuming responsibilities for the quality and effectiveness of the studies/analyses
• Analyzes processes to identify problem areas and makes recommendations for corrective actions

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 6 years of progressive financial experience in public accounting or a large multi-national company
• Strong analytical skills, research capabilities and overall business acumen required
• Solid project management skills
• Excellent communications skills, including experience in reports and presentations to executive leadership
• Proficiency with Onestream, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite Applications
• Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA preferred
• Highly motivated individual, with ability to adapt to changing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work with a variety of internal customers
