ABOUT THE TEAM

The Financial Systems team oversees the ongoing enhancement of Braze’s Financial platforms, data, security and operating procedures. At our core, we are system optimization people. While we are committed to providing outstanding end-user support, our primary objective is to reveal and fix inefficiencies that others cannot and to enable functional teams to perform at levels they never thought possible. As a team, we perform 3 distinct functions: scrum-based system implementation, system administration (Service Desk) and system/process optimization analysis.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Lead Financial Systems Administrator, your primary focus is system optimization. You care about the integrity of the solutions we build and support, while advancing towards solutions that get the right information to the right person at the right time. As part of your first 6 months, you will be assigned to 2 specific systems (DealHub CPQ & Captivate IQ) to learn in depth and to make you effective at finding and fixing issues, performing scalable regression tests and assessing the impact of new solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Familiarize yourself with specific Finance Operations standard operating procedures such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Month-End Closing.
  • Work in different team settings – one month you may manage an implementation project with a business partner. The next, you may divide and conquer a project with five others and the month after that you may focus on end-user enablement.
  • Partner with the Revenue Operations division and Salesforce team as the system manager of DealHub CPQ and Captivate IQ, owning the system configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting, leading requirements gathering, and compiling a backlog for upcoming sprints.
  • Conduct implementation testing as part of standard software development lifecycles and per our change management policy.
  • Create and update our system documentation, such as architectural flowcharts, data dictionary and dependency mappings, business requirements documents, functional design documents, user manuals, test scripts and training materials.
  • Support general administration and maintenance of all Financial Systems, including NetSuite, Coupa, Zuora and CaptivateIQ applications.
  • Analyze our historical service request, identify common themes and develop solutions to deliver faster resolutions.
  • Deliver training to end-users to drive adoption and continued utilization.
  • Assist in the development of the team's reusable templates.
  • Provide audit support for SOX compliance including generating reports, developing documentation, and performing completeness and accuracy checks.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong business acumen and desire to understand how businesses operate within a larger ecosystem.
  • Adaptive and agile in a quickly changing environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal skills.
  • Must satisfy at least one of the following
    • 5 years of experience performing complex system analysis.
    • 3 years of experience in software development, MIS or IT.
    • 1 year of experience administering CPQ.
  • Ability to learn new financial systems and stay informed of technology changes.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality around sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with implementing DealHub, Captivate IQ, and/or Salesforce.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks, including SOX and SSAE16 SOC.
  • Experience working at a public company.

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $120,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $95,000 and $140,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.

From comprehensive benefits to remote availability to flexible time off, we’ve got you covered so you can prioritize work-life harmony.

  • Competitive compensation that includes equity
  • Retirement and Employee Stock Purchase Plans
