Lead Front-End Web Developer

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Front-End Developer to lead our front-end development team and take our e-commerce platform to the next level, a pivotal role in driving the technical direction and execution of our website's front end with a strong focus on architecture, development and testing frameworks, best practices, webpage performance optimization and session management. What You Can Do For Us: 

• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain the front end of our e-commerce website using React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with the UX, Product owners and back-end teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end systems to implement user-friendly and visually appealing web pages.
• Create reusable UI components and ensure the overall codebase is maintainable.
• Implement responsive design to ensure an optimal user experience across various devices.
• Integrate with RESTful/GraphQL APIs and other data sources to fetch and display product information.
• Implement logging, error handling and traceability of customers sessions.
• Lead efforts to integrate Contentful CMS for dynamic content management.
• Implement cache strategy for the website.
• Oversee state management strategies, ensuring efficient data flow and maintaining global state.
• Work on advanced features for user authentication, session management, product listing, product details, shopping cart, and checkout.
• Optimize the website for performance, improve core web vitals and page load times, and SEO through code splitting, server-side rendering, and other advanced techniques.
• Implement Web analytics and integrate 3rd party JS for analytics tracking.
• Implement Unit Testing/Test driven development framework.
• Ensure web applications are accessible and follow best practices for security.
• Drive innovation in front-end development, keeping up with the latest web technologies, best practices, and choosing the right front-end technologies and libraries.
• Own front-end architectural decisions, webpage performance and scalability planning.

Who We Are Looking For: 

• 6+ years’ experience in Front-end development
• 4+ years of experience with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3
• Proven experience as a Lead Front-End Developer or a similar senior role architecting e-commerce or similar websites.
• Experience in e-commerce domain is a plus.
• Proficiency in state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
• Strong understanding of web security best practices.
• Good understanding of Accessibility and SEO best practices.
• Experience with architectural design, caching and performance optimization.
• Knowledge on Google Tag Manager/Tealium.
• Experience with Contentful CMS integration for dynamic content management.
• Ability to drive and inspire a team, set coding standards, and ensure code quality.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
