Lead Frontend Developer/Product Manager

As we reflect on the successful strides made in enhancing our Data Manager web app over the past year, we're now focused on the next phase of feature development! To facilitate this, we are in search of an adaptable individual to take on the role of a dedicated Lead Frontend Developer & Product Manager. This person will not only shape the product roadmap but will also play a hands-on role in development, contributing to our team's growth.

Your impact:

• Act as the product owner / team lead for our proprietary software product. This will include managing a small team of software developers, prioritizing work, managing development requests, and helping to design and implement software solutions.
• Work closely & collaborate with stakeholders and developers to construct new software features and solutions to support the growing needs of the organization.
• Ensure development of high-quality code that adheres to best practices in design, proper testing, and good documentation by yourself and the team.
• Fulfill stakeholders’ needs and ensure they are satisfied with the end result.
• Other related duties as assigned.

About you:

• BA/BS in a technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• 8-10+ years of experience developing in JavaScript (React preferred)
• 4+ years of team leadership/coaching experience
• 4+ years of experience leading software projects
• Expert understanding of React and its’ features (ex, Hooks)
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL
• Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to break down complex projects into manageable, assignable pieces
• Excellent communication skills - written & spoken
• Understanding of backend, object-oriented languages such as Java
• Preferred: Experience with UNIX/Linux
• Preferred: Experience with JIRA/Confluence
