Lead Full Stack Engineer (React/Java)

Company Overview:

As a Lead Engineer, you will join a dynamic team Kunai is assembling to integrate seamlessly with a  major global banking client’s investment arm. In this role, you will champion best practices to build and enhance cutting-edge applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop across the application stack including front-end, back-end, database layers, and dev ops.
• Utilize React to build highly optimized, scalable, and modern web applications, embracing modern ES6+ standards.
• Create and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java
• Deploy and manage application components in a cloud environment (Azure)
• Implement CI/CD tools/processes and drive TDD best practices
• Engage and problem-solve with other engineers, designers, and product owners in a collaborative environment, involving code reviews and joint problem-solving

Candidate Profile:

• 4+ years of proven background in building scalable full-stack applications with Java, and JavaScript (React).
• Experience leading and mentoring teams of engineers
• Solid understanding of asynchronous JavaScript, data querying from various sources (GraphQL, REST APIs, databases), and web services.
• Keen eye for layout, semantic markup, and application performance.
• Proficient in cloud services( Azure) and knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices.
• Experience with data warehouse, visualization, and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Data Factory, Tableau, and Power BI)
• Strong ownership, pragmatic approach, commitment to testing and learning, and ability to work in agile, collaborative environments.
• Adaptability: Openness to learning and applying new technologies and methodologies
• Prior enterprise-level or commercial software development experience.
• Financial services experience is strongly preferred.
