The Opportunity:

The Director of Lead Generation will be responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive lead generation strategies to drive qualified leads, enhance pipeline velocity, and support revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of digital marketing with a strong focus on paid advertising, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and lead quality. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, with a proven ability to optimize campaigns, manage budgets, and collaborate across teams to deliver measurable outcomes. Our ideal candidate is passionate about ROI, data oriented, understands the importance of multi-channel marketing and strategic targeting, and knows exactly what to do with a budget and each dollar spent will achieve.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Strategy Development
    • Develop and execute multi-channel lead generation strategies that align with business objectives and target key customer segments.
  • Paid Advertising
    • Lead the creation and optimization of paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, Facebook, and other relevant channels to maximize ROI and attract high-quality leads.
  • SEM & SEO
    •  Oversee the company’s SEM and SEO initiatives, including keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, content strategy, and competitive analysis to improve organic visibility and lead generation.
  • Lead Quality
    • Implement and refine strategies to enhance lead quality and conversion rates throughout the sales funnel. Work closely with sales to ensure alignment on lead definitions and optimize targeting efforts.
  • Campaign Management
    • Manage the end-to-end execution of lead generation campaigns, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance targets.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and its impact on the pipeline. Leverage data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Budget Management
    • Oversee the lead generation budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with the content, product marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive and aligned lead generation efforts.
  • Agency Management
    • Oversee relationships with external agency partners, ensuring they are aligned with company goals and deliver high-quality work. Provide clear direction, manage expectations, and evaluate performance to ensure optimal outcomes.

Must have details

  • 10+ years of developing and executing paid advertising, SEM, and SEO strategies.
  • Familiarity with a high growth business. 
  • An understanding and deep appreciation of the importance of attribution.
  • Proficiency across a typical martech technology stack. We use Google Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce and Wordpress.
  • Proven track record of building demand generating programs and measuring their effectiveness.
  • Strong background in conversion rate optimization for website and landing pages.
  • Experience building a campaign structure that activates content marketing
  • Strong background in campaign optimization and understanding how to use key metrics to inform which tactics and messages are working.
  • Passionate about data-driven marketing and making a measurable impact on revenue.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, highly transactional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple agency relationships (i.e., develop strategies, manage programs, and measure results).
  • An understanding of brand messaging and identity frameworks and how to incorporate into multiple marketing channels.
  • Ability to create compelling strategies, execute on ideas, measure results, and communicate clearly across all levels in the company including leadership, sales and partnerships team.
  • You care -- which means sometimes putting yourself out there for a customer or a fellow colleague
  • You're a cooperative and creative problem-solver. 
  • You are located in, and authorized to work in, the US or Canada
