Primary Responsibilities:
Graphic Design
- Design and develop visual concepts for a wide range of marketing needs: advertising, email, website, social media, presentations, event signage and more.
- Meet with internal clients and stakeholder to gather information and brainstorm design solutions to effectively communicate with and engage customers.
- Produce fresh, innovative, on-brand work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences.
- Present, or oversee presentation of final concepts, and obtain approvals for deliverables.
- Help the Marketing and Product teams translate ideas and processes to visual graphics that help tell a story and support selling.
Visual Branding
- Develop and oversee overall NCQA visual branding and visual brand direction for new products and campaigns.
- Design visual brand elements, such as logos.
- Ensure all of the organization's creative output is aligned with the overall brand.
Creative Direction
- Oversee contract graphic designers and direct any agency or vendor designers.
- Build, lead, and review work of the creative team in the production of all web, print, and digital marketing collateral, ensuring that work effectively addresses marketing goals.
- Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small-scale and large-scale projects.
Marketing Operations/Processes
- Develop and manage all processes for design, including review/approvals.
- Work with the rest of the Marketing team to improve and streamline processes.
- Prioritize work and resources based on short- and long-term needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
- Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work.
- 10+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including current Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
- Understanding of brand identity, visual branding and its importance.
- Must have in-house (non-agency) experience, overseeing corporate brand and creative direction at the corporate level.
- Organizational, prioritization and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
