Summary

You will serve as a Lead HR Assistant (MIL) in the Installation Personnel Admin Center of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Lead HR Assistant (MIL). Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Leading and managing a small team (3 to 4) of administrative personnel; 2) Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of personnel administration acumen and a foundational knowledge of administrative services and daily standard operating procedures; 3) Working with personnel and general administration, human resources processes, and office management activities; 4) Applying naval and business correspondence management procedures and format, along with an understanding of basic English grammar (spelling, punctuation, and syntax) sufficient to review and draft documents (e.g., order, bulletin, directives); and 5) Dmeonstrating a knowledge and understanding of computer web-based software applications specifically as they relate to the Marine Corps family of systems: Marine Corps Total Force System, Unit Diary/ Marine Integrated Personnel Service, 3270, Document Tracking Management Service, and Official Military Personnel File.
