Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. Acts as the principal designer for major voice and/or data telecommunication systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. Works closely with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements. Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timelines of project design decisions and how easily these designs can be implemented. Requires excellent analytical ability, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications, and a broad knowledge of telecommunication alternatives. 1.Provides comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. 2.Acts as the principal designer for major voice and/or data telecommunication systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. 3.Works closely with client management to identify and specify the complex business requirements. 4.Accountable for the effectiveness, quality and timelines of project design decisions and how easily these designs can be implemented. 5.May act as Project Leader. 6.May be involved in providing assistance and training to lower level specialists. 7.Keeps abreast on the direction of emerging industry standards. 8.Provides technical analysis of requirements necessary for the protection of all information processed, stored, or transmitted by systems. 9.Serves as an expert resource or ¿go to person¿ within a group. 10.Conducts preliminary analysis. 11.Reviews work of others. 12.Handles more extensive, high-profile work. 13.Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred. Requires excellent communications, analytical ability, strong judgment and problem analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of the business unit's functions and applications, and a broad knowledge of telecommunication alternatives.
