Lead Infrastructure Engineer

How you'll make an impact:The Lead Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting and extending Strata's infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Federated Services, Office 365, Certificate Authority, and Microsoft server operating systems. This engineer is considered the subject matter expert on these technologies.

• Administration of multiple AD environments including GPO and GPP adjusting configuration to align with best practice.
• Review all group policies and eliminate waste and redundancy while ensuring these policies align with industry standards.
• Perform AD health checks and implement suggested remediation's as needed.
• Migrate ADFS connections to Azure and configure new SSO setups.
• Assess Strata's current identity and access management maturity and make recommendations for improvement.
• Provide long term strategy and guidance for on premise AD and Azure AD and what best fits Strata's business goals.
• Engineer solutions that are highly available, scalable, and support Strata's growth
• Provide oversight on Strata's hybrid O365 implementation including upgrades where needed.
• Provides third level support for technical support issues. Creates knowledge base articles and cross trains service desk on usage. Provide root cause analysis of problems and implement creative solutions to prevent reoccurrences.
• Project management of small to medium technical project implementations. Including communication, stakeholder management and technical implementation. Develop timelines and budget estimates and provide status reports on the project progress.
• Independently research and recommend new hardware and software solutions.
• Participate in the planning, acquisition, and installation of hardware, hypervisors, and Windows operating systems. Perform installations of application software and Microsoft Services.

How we work:We have the flexibility to support both fully remote and hybrid work - our campuses are located in Chicago, IL and St. Louis, MO. Regardless of location, you'll have the chance to visit our Chicago headquarters throughout the year!What we're looking for:

• Minimum 8+ years of applied IT experience
• Strong analytical skills – the ability to assist in resolving various systems issues for multiple integrated locations and systems.
• Specifically, this position will require daily utilization and problem-solving skills with respect to the following technologies (candidate does not need to be skilled in all the following areas but needs to be knowledgeable on most):
• Windows Server /2012r2/2016/2019
• Microsoft Active Directory and ADFS
• Azure AD
• Microsoft PKI
• PowerShell
• Time management and organizational skills are imperative.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with all levels of management and personnel.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply learned principles
• Familiar with MFA and/or risk-based authentication technologies
