Your ImpactÂ
Lead instruction for ~25 employees at a leading Private Equity firm in a live online classroom for 5 weeks of lectures. The instructor will be responsible for leading live lectures every other week and providing learner support through live office hours and asynchronously Microsoft Teams.Â
The role is part-time, remote, and paid (compensation details below). The approximate weekly commitment is ~3 hours per week. The live lectures and office hours will take place during normal working hours 10am - 11:30am, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday.
A Day In The LifeÂ
The program is held over 10 weeks with only 5 weeks of lecture (see the detailed calendar below). Lectures are held typically every other week. Learners work individually to complete asynchronous learning modules outside of the live class teams. The learners also have a data storytelling project as their final key deliverable for the class. Learners dedicate 1-3 hours per week to the program, as they have to balance it with the responsibilities of their daily roles.
Learners will have different backgrounds and experience with data and technology. Some will know how to code and work with data, while for others this will be their first formal exposure to a data course. The goal of the program is to increase the level of data literacy within the firm and upskill individual learners to feel more comfortable working with data.
Your Expertise
- Experience teaching in a virtual environment
- Work experience as a data practitioner
- Understanding of how data should be approcached within the context of large enterprises
- Exceptional leadership, management and organizational skills
- Experience with the business context of data in Private Equity / finance is a plus but not required
Core Responsibilities:
Onboarding (Pre-Program)Â
- The instructor will need to review the program materials prior to the beginning of the program to familiarize themselves with the content.Â
- The instructor will need to meet and communicate with Correlation One prior to the beginning of the program to coordinate on the logistical details of teaching the program
Classes (During the Program)Â
- There are lectures for 5 of the weeks. There is one lecture per week during these weeks, each lasting 1.5 hours
- Classes are typically held 10am - 11:30am, on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
- Lectures are virtual – taught over Microsoft Teams and other virtual learning technologies
Office Hours (During the Program)Â
- 1 hour per week at a predetermined time based on your availability. Note – it will need to occur between 9am - 5pm ET
- Learners can sign up on an as-needed basis via Calendly or other scheduling software.Â
Asynchronous Responsibilities (During the Program)
- Communication with learners via Microsoft Teams. Answering their questions and generating engagement among the learners.
- Report on class progress to Correlation One and the client.
Class Schedule:
- 5 weeks of lectures
Total commitment over 5 weeks:
- 12.5 hours (6.5 hours of lecture and 5 hours of office hours)
Compensation:
- Base: $2500
