Job Summary
The Lead IT Compliance will drive improvement of existing IT compliance programs, as well as help organize, manage, and execute any new compliance improvements and initiatives. They will perform the day-to-day activities of the various compliance programs from scoping to execution and final reporting. This role is responsible for determining the efficiency of control structure and streamline controls. This individual liaises with internal and external audit teams, in addition to Business Unit personnel across the company, in accomplishing our mission of providing value-add to the company, creating partnerships and establishing a high level of integrity amongst our peers. The various compliance disciplines include IT General Computer Controls (GCC), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Information (PCI), National Security Agreement (NSA), and the Outage Consent Decree.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance and strategic direction to the IT Compliance Team and the Compliance Stakeholders.
- Key focal point on all Compliance Processes within IT and for the company. Will work in conjunction with IT, Internal Audit, External Auditors, Business Stakeholders on the development and maintenance of these procedures.
- Designing controls to mitigate identified risks, developing testing strategies to support the attestation on the effectiveness of controls.
- Ensures that compliance testing is scheduled and that the necessary resources within the business units are identified, participate in, and manage the testing of key controls.
- Manage lifecycle of enhancements to Governance, Risk and Compliance tools including coordination with key stakeholders across the company for requirements and testing.
- Evaluate IT internal controls and the remediation of control weaknesses, and communicate to respective managers within the company.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits for the IT department, including those relevant to IT Compliance and Contingency Planning.
- Provide recommendations for meeting audit requirements and manages exceptions to closure.
- Provide oversight to compliance activities when interacting with third parties/vendors. Review contractual agreements, insuring IT compliance adherence.
- Perform performance evaluations and development plans
Qualifications
- As a minimum, a college bachelor's degree
- A minimum of five years of IT and business/industry work experience with demonstrated management leadership experience.
- Prior management experience in a comparably sized organization
- Analytical and business management skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Good communications and organizational skills to facilitate teamwork and help coordinate small to large teams of IT professionals.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic business environment.
- An understanding of process governance, risk, and compliance discipline. Solid understanding of IT General Computer Controls (GCC), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Payment Card Information (PCI), National Security Agreement (NSA), and the Outage Consent Decree.
- Knowledge of the latest requirements and trends in the management of IT Compliance.
- Knowledge of project management processes and steps. Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and the customer.
- Ability to organize, plan, execute and supervise multiple major projects with minimal supervision.
- Analytical ability as related to the analysis of IT Compliance performance over time.
- Demonstrates strong problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
