It is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex database problems and enabling business performance through data systems excellence.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the design, optimization, and operation of enterprise database environments while ensuring stability, scalability, and high performance across multiple platforms.

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for SQL performance tuning, diagnosing and resolving complex database bottlenecks in Oracle environments.
  • Lead database architecture initiatives, including high availability setups (RAC, Data Guard), migrations, and performance optimization projects.
  • Manage and optimize Oracle Exadata and Exadata Cloud@Customer environments, including coordination with vendor support when needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize queries, execution plans, and data models for large-scale transactional and ETL workloads.
  • Oversee database environments across Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL in both on-prem and cloud infrastructures.
  • Drive automation, operational efficiency, and standardization of DBA processes and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements, including access control and encryption practices.
  • Lead disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure system resilience.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior and mid-level DBAs, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support critical production systems when required.
  • Requirements:

This role requires a highly experienced database professional with strong technical depth, leadership capability, and hands-on expertise in complex, high-scale environments.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • 6+ years of experience in Database Administration, with strong focus on Oracle environments.
    • Deep expertise in SQL performance tuning, including query optimization and execution plan analysis.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata and Exadata Cloud@Customer (OCI and/or on-prem).
    • Solid experience with Oracle technologies such as RAC, Active Data Guard, OEM, AWR, and ASH.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot across database, application, OS, and infrastructure layers.
    • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
    • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives independently.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package with performance-based components
      • Health, dental, and life insurance coverage
      • Meal allowance for flexible daily use (restaurants and supermarkets)
      • Home office support allowance
