Description
The Lead Project Manager will provide senior thought-leadership and management of top organizational and strategic business projects. The Lead Project Manager will be managing the largest projects with highest complexity and impact. They manage and lead the project teams by performing project administration, project tracking, reporting and other team-related activities. This position demands a high degree of time management organizational and communication skills, proficiency with stakeholder management, demonstrated the ability to deliver successful completion of top projects. Actively coaching and mentoring peer project managers and proposing project delivery process improvements, time management and organizational skills and will lead the team to establish guidelines of project management processes and methodology.
• Manage and lead technical project teams and project delivery, overseeing task execution and work progress• Develop, plan, and maintain detailed project plans with clear identification of milestones, tasks, dependencies, and resource required• Proactively identify, document, and manage risks and mitigation strategies• Proactively manage resolution of project issues and timely resolution; escalate as needed for resolution • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and upcoming plans to internal stakeholders, PMO leadership and vendors• Manage relationships with cross-functional project partners/service providers• Improve project management processes and increase efficiencies• Demonstrated flexibility to manage projects across multiple technical infrastructure and business application implementation competency areas• Portfolio Management to provide information, direction, and guidance as to how Portfolio Managers will work to ensure focused Portfolio Planning, Grooming, and Prioritization, throughout the Portfolio Lifecycle• Portfolio Management to drive continuous improvement of Portfolio Management process, insights, and connectedness (cross-dependencies)• Portfolio Management to maintain alignment and inform IT Sr Leadership Team, Directors, Managers, Portfolio & Project Managers • Portfolio Management to monitor Resources and Allocations across the Portfolio• Portfolio Management to understand cross-portfolio Scope related to strategic priorities across the IT 5 Year Plan (contradictions, complimentary, duplicative Ideas/Projects)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent work experience• 7+ years of experience managing projects and programs in IT of varying sizes, complexities and impact • Demonstrated ability to assist/manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:• Strong leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills• Superior organizational skills with attention to detail• Proven analytical, problem-solving, decision making and prioritization skills• Able to contribute to the big picture, conceptualize outcomes, and identify trends• Ability to discern order out of chaos• Able to assist the department in developing strategic planning• Strong focus on collaboration delivery team building and customer service• Executing Business Process Projects is preferred
