Lead ITSM & QA

Primary Duties

1. Consults with system users to identify and define ITSM software application needs. Analyzes requests for changes, updates or modifications to new or existing processes and makes recommendations for designs to meet client specification. Participates in user requirements definition, systems analysis, general systems design, detail systems design, and vendor contracts discussions.

2. Coordinates and prioritizes team's work assignments, providing leadership to team members and other IT staff to support achievement of goals and objectives within company policies and procedures.

3. Assists in the preparation of project work plans, development of service request cost and time estimates, and the development of management reports on plans, projects and performance. Manage repositories for QA related activities including test plans, test cases, defects, metrics, test procedures, etc.

4. Leads quality assurance activities on multiple projects to meet business and customer needs by using QA strategies, processes and methodologies, leveraging both manual and automated testing.

5. Coordinates and prioritizes QA, ITSM and contract resources on activities across multiple projects and initiatives to meet business and customer needs using QA and ITSM strategies, processes, and methodologies.

6. Monitors QA activities and assignment/project progress related to execution of various types of manual and automated testing, including functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, and implementation.

7. Monitors ITSM activities and assignment/project progress related to changes and enhancements to service management applications. Ensures that the applications are being managed to meet customer and IT needs.

8. Coordinates and assists with maintaining adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. May provide input into selection, training and evaluation of subordinate employees and contract staff.

9. Oversees QA and ITSM activities related to process assessment, implementation, improvement and redesign. Evaluates the QA and ITSM test environments, to ensure they are configured/sized to satisfy customer needs.

10. Organizes and facilitates IT related planning and deployment activities. Ensures systems are operating within governing IT policies and service delivery levels including SOX and IT General Controls.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

Educational/Experience Level:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Business or a closely related field and five years progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance, Service Management or related area; or equivalent.

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified

Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), Certified Professional in Test Automation (CPTA)

Communication Skills:

Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.

Numeric Skills:

Requires the ability to perform analysis involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

Computer Skills:

Requires a very high level of computer skills in order to use various technologies in the PC, LAN and office equipment areas of the business with an excellent understanding of programming languages.

Work Conditions:

Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
