ACCOUNTABILITIES: Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to DellAs systems quality standards, policies and procedures. Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions. Responsible for preparing design documentation. Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing. Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs. Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability. Drafts, revises, and maintains test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Executes test procedures according to software requirements specifications Logs defects and makes recommendations to address defects. Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Documents evolution of testing procedures for future replication. May conduct performance and scalability testing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, conducts and manages assignments generally involving large, high budgets (cross- functional) projects or more than one project. Assists in creating the strategic technical and architectural direction to the programming function. Serves as point of contact between IT and key business users senior leadership in defining IT solution based on business needs. Drives changes in architecture, methodology or programming procedures. Performs estimation efforts on the most complex projects and tracks progress. Obtains detailed specification from business users and development to ascertain specific output information requirements. Prepares detailed plans for managing cross-testing team dependencies. Serves as the testing consultant to leader in the IT organization and functional user groups. Mentors team members on all aspects of testing concepts.

Senior Principal Software Engineer - IT

We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in building cloud native applications using latest technologies and methodologies such as Spring, Spring Boot, Java, and REST, microservices.

As Senior Principal Software Engineer you will own software development of major components of Dell Digital DLX platform according to Dell's systems quality standards, policies, and procedures. You will be collaborating with diverse globally distributed teams across multiple roles such as product managers, solution architects, enterprise architects and product engineering teams.

You should be comfortable with cloud native application development programming languages, and development environments, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the stack and have good sense for developer experience. You will also be responsible for technical prototype developments and accountable for technical work items of the DLX platform.

Key Responsibilities:• Strong software development with 10+ years of experience in Spring Boot, Spring Webflux, Spring integration, Spring security, and REST services, Design patterns and architectures• Micro-service and cloud-native development are essential skills• Exposure to PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and other cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS and Azure• Experience on asynchronous, reactive streams, non-blocking service development• Experience on message integrations and event architecture such as Kafka• Experience on working with both NoSQL databases such as Mongo, and RDBMS such as Oracle• Experience on UI/UX frameworks and Micro frontend such as Angular and React is required• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must• Should possess quick learning capabilities• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (Pair programming, TDD, BDD, Pivotal methodology)• Exposure to working with various code repositories (TFS, GIT etc.)• Exposure to DevOps and CI / CD processes• Working knowledge on releases, go-live process• Should have worked in teams located in multiple locations and with different cultures• Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to Dell's systems standards, policies, and procedures• Help organization on talent acquisition• Self driven and ability to lead and manage development teams
