Lead Java Frontend Developer

Infosys is seeking a Lead Java Frontend Developer
This position's primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate day-to-day deliverables for the team. The chosen candidate will assist in the design and development of user interfaces for large business systems; build applications, interfaces between applications, and understand data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, and scalability; contribute expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guide/mentor the team during the build and test phases.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Pennington, NJ or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience in frontend development.
• Experience in frontend development.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 to 8 years of experience in frontend development.
• Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular and Redux.
• Experience on tools and technologies including Git, Webpack, Bootstrap, Material UI, Ag-Grid, and AJAX.
• Experience in developing RESTful services and working with APIs.
• Experience with backend technologies like Node.js and Express.js.
• Experience with test-driven development and testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, and Chai.
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to multitask, work well under demanding situations, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
