Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead KSA Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program Office (MDA/THF). In this role, the successful candidate will directly support the THF Chief Engineer (CE) and the KSA THAAD FMS Program Management team with ongoing design, production, fielding, and sustainment of seven (7) new generation THAAD batteries to be delivered to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As Lead Systems Engineer, the candidate will lead THF Systems Engineering activities and coordinate with internal THAAD product offices, external suppliers and Other Government Agencies (OGAs), and weapon system Prime contractors.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Directly support the KSA THAAD FMS Chief Engineer (THF-E) as Lead Systems Engineer for design, production, fielding, & sustainment of advanced THAAD batteries to FMS customer
- Coordinate all related KSA THAAD FMS Program Office (THF) Systems Engineer activities with the USG THAAD Product Office Systems Engineering division, other MDA Systems Engineering activities and/or Product Offices, Prime Contractor systems engineering staff, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) as required
- Generate and/or review detailed THAAD weapon system technical information necessary to support THF-E systems engineering activities
- Support Technical Evaluations of proposal information submitted by the Prime contractors in response to THF issued Request for Proposals (RFPs)
- Obtain & review information from the prime contractor as requested by the Government customer
- Participate in selected prime contractor meetings and boards
- Coordinate with functional support (Quality, Safety, Mission Assurance (QSMA), and Logistics) to support the CE requirements
- Facilitate Government IPTs and functional areas (QSMA, Logistics, Program Operations) as requested
- Support OCONUS technical Working Group meetings and THAAD Facility Design & Construction activities with KSA customer as required
- Participate and provide input to teleconferences as directed by the Government customer (e.g. weekly staff meetings, and other regularly scheduled meetings with the prime contractor and its subs)
- The Lead Systems Engineer will also participate or lead regular Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), provide oversight of related engineering and technical activities, and perform Technical Evaluations of proposals, plans, schedules, and performance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering; Masters Degree also required (technical specialty desired)
- 12+ years of demonstrated systems engineering experience required
- Detailed technical knowledge of the THAAD Weapon System required
- Solid understanding of MDA Systems Engineering processes required
- Understanding and application of sound engineering principles related to component design
- Experienced in working in a high intensity environment with minimal supervision
- Occasional travel to locations within Saudi Arabia required (< 10-15% annual average)
- Strong oral and written communication skills required - to include creation and presentation of technical briefing materials
- Strong computer skills - working knowledge of MS office suite of tools
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Prior FMS Program Office experience desired
- THAAD Product Office experience highly desired
- Understanding of interoperability, technology protection, and risk mitigation
