Lead Mission Scripter

We are Turtle Rock Studios.  An award-winning game developer of AAA first person shooters and other games, including the latest co-op shooter franchise, Back 4 Blood.  We are located in the heart of Orange County, CA and have team members working remotely throughout North America. We thrive in an open and collaborative environment which is led to this day by co-founders Chris Ashton and Phil Robb.

• Work closely with our level designers to craft fun scenarios, events, and missions
• Provide scripting support for various gameplay systems and levels
• Collaborate with all departments to iterate and polish new content
• Be open to feedback and participate in open discussions regarding gameplay
• Handle creative and technical implementation of missions
• Playtest with both the studio and the design team to review and develop missions

• Experience with UE4 and Blueprint
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates experience creating interesting and creative gameplay events and missions
• 4+ years of experience in game development with one or more shipped titles on multiple platforms
• Creativity and strong sense of pacing
• Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment

• Demonstrated experience working on cooperative FPSs
• Experience working in Level Design and creating level layouts
• Experience with AAA First Person action titles
• Familiarity with development tools such as Perforce, JIRA, and Confluence
