Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer who can quickly rise to the challenge of developing our next generation SDWAN network. As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SDWAN) solutions for our lines of business. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of network engineering, WAN and LAN technologies, and understanding of SDWAN to provide cutting-edge solutions that optimize network performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SDWAN solutions for lines of business based on their specific requirements and business objectives
- Evaluate and analyze existing network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement SDWAN technology to enhance performance, reliability, and security
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop project plans, and ensure successful implementation of SDWAN solutions
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of SDWAN deployments to identify and resolve any performance issues or bottlenecks
- Provide technical guidance and support to lines of business and internal teams throughout the SDWAN implementation and post-deployment phases
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to SDWAN and network engineering
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 12+ years of experience in network engineering with expertise in WAN and LAN technologies
- In-depth understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts and hands-on experience with SDWAN deployments
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, VLAN)
- Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, authentication, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS)
- Proficiency in configuring and managing networking devices, including routers, switches, and load balancers
- Familiarity with public connectivity options such as Broadband, DIA, LTE, and their integration into SDWAN solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with our lines of business and internal teams
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, SD-WAN (Palo Alto, Cloudgenix, Viptela, Velocloud), or equivalent, would be a highly desirable
Desired Skills:
- E xtensive experience in SDWAN is preferred, but we understand that SDWAN is a specialized area so it's not absolutely necessary to have that experience
- We encourage candidates with a solid background in network engineering and a desire to learn and grow in the SDWAN space to apply

Pay and benefits information
Jersey City pay range:
$98,700 - $161,700 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
