SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Lead OCM Specialist is responsible for development, design, and execution of project change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage of new technology and tools by IMCS, while minimizing their resistance to change in support of asset management best practices. The Lead OCM Specialist will report on key performance indicators and adjust strategies as needed, as well as create effective change communications that inform and engage employees and stakeholders throughout the transformation process. This role will provide direct support and coaching to managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans. Identifies, tracks, reports and resolves issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Apply change management processes and tools to create both a go-live business approach and a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
- Creating actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of proposed changes on employees, processes, and systems.
- Develop the design, delivery, and management of OCM communications.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
- Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 5-7 years relevant experience.
- Change management certification or designation.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in business management and MS Office Suite.
MINIMUM KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative partnerships and interpersonal relationships with leadership, business stakeholders, SMEs and peers
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
- Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically.
- Experience with large scale change management with regards to Enterprise Resource Planning projects.
- Understanding of organizational issues, challenges, how people go through changes, and the change process.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
- Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
- Familiar with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Comfortable speaking and leading discussion in a group setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Change management certification or designation.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, tools.
- Proficiency in business management and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with Asset Management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office and field work environment.
- Travel up to 50%.
- Travel to Amtrak offices and right-of-way sites that are not accessible by train.
COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The salary/hourly range is $94,300 - $135,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee's assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
