Lead Painter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques, including industrial painting, stucco, and plaster work. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for overseeing painting projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of color theory, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team of painters.
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise painting projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Utilize various painting techniques and materials, including industrial painting, stucco, and plaster.
• Apply knowledge of color theory to select appropriate colors and finishes for each project.
• Operate and maintain power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform caulking and other preparatory tasks to ensure surfaces are ready for painting.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate project timelines and requirements.
• Conduct construction estimating to determine material needs and project costs.
• Train and mentor junior painters in best practices and techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a painter with expertise in industrial painting, stucco, plaster, and caulking.
• Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in various projects.
• Proficiency in using power tools and other painting equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Previous experience in carpentry or construction estimating is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
